Scottish Salmon Think Tank
Originally the ‘committee’ within a Skye community’s opposition to four salmon farm proposals 2012-2015 and thereafter as a few people involved in campaigning, the group was opened to region-wide membership in December 2024 at the screening of an Italian film about fish farming which shocked a significant number of new people. Now dedicated to improving public understanding of the environmental impacts of salmon farming in Skye and Kyle of Lochalsh through information exchange, discussion and awareness raising.
