Common Ground is a newly formed, community-led organisation fostering self-determination along the North West Sutherland coast. We create opportunities for people to connect — to each other, to the land, and to our shared stories — through projects ranging from our Ruins to Seeds series, exploring how history shapes present-day choices, to the development of a mobile sauna as a space for rest and reconnection. Our aim is to nurture belonging, strengthen community voice, and explore new, inclusive ways of living well in a rural setting. Looking ahead, we hope to grow projects that are accessible, sustainable, and deeply rooted in the land and waters that sustain us.
