AFFtheClyde

AFFtheClyde is an environmental advocacy group, with members from communities around Loch Long, Loch Goil, the Isle of Bute, and the wider Firth of Clyde.  The group was originally established to campaign against the proposed fish farms at Ardentinny on Loch Long, Argyll, and three other proposed Firth of Clyde sites at Great Cumbrae, Little Cumbrae, and the Isle of Bute.  They recently led the successful community campaign that led to refusal of the planning application for the proposed salmon farm at Beinn Reith, also on Loch Long. The group’s scope has widened since its inception to consider other environmental issues affecting the health of the Clyde’s marine environment.
